May was truly a great month for Jiu-Jitsu here at Franklin Martial Arts in Bellingham MA, especially since we had a significant number of belt promotions here at our academy.  In Jiu-Jitsu, promotions don't come by very often, and they don't come undeserved either.  These guys have made a commitment to the art because of their pure love for Jiu-Jitsu and what it does for them.  The secret is getting out regarding the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu, but it still takes dedication and work to reach those benefits.  These guys here, along with other students, have surrendered and dedicated themselves to Jiu-Jitsu, and have accepted the challenge of bettering themselves. 

Tom Viera [brown], Ryan Burke [brown], Kevin Cook [purple], Igdalia Medina [blue], Nate Leblanc [blue] and Andrew Wallace [blue], congratulations on your well deserved belt promotions, guys!  We all hope that you guys use this as a stepping stone to fuel your fire for Jiu-Jitsu, for training, so that it infects and fuels others too.

Now back to the mats!

Having never set foot in a martial arts building, and knowing nothing about any of the arts, I was apprehensive about enrolling in a class. All fears were set aside after the first boxing class. Everyone was so welcoming that by the second class, staff and students alike felt like long-time friends. Loved it so much I enrolled in not just boxing, but also Jiu Jitsu. The staff is highly knowledgeable, personable, accommodating, and fully committed to your success. The facility is clean and well equipped for a variety of classes.
